Gyms and Battles
Once you reach level 5, you can join a team and start participating in battles at Gyms. Choose either Team Valor (Red), Team Mystic (Blue), or Team Instinct (Yellow) to represent your allegiance. Visit nearby Gyms to challenge rival trainers and defend your own team's Gyms by leaving your Pokémon to guard them. Battles involve strategic maneuvers and proper Pokémon selection, so it's essential to train and evolve your Pokémon for better chances of victory.
Evolving Pokémon
Evolving Pokémon is a central aspect of the game. By capturing more of the same species, you can earn candies specific to that Pokémon. Accumulate enough candies, and you'll be able to evolve them into more powerful forms. Keep an eye out for Pokémon nests or habitat areas, where particular species tend to congregate, making it easier to catch and evolve them.
Pokéstops and Items
Pokéstops are special locations in your surroundings where you can collect valuable items such as Poké Balls, Potions, and Eggs. Visit them regularly to restock on supplies necessary for your Pokémon journey. Spin the photo disc at the Pokéstop to claim your rewards.
Community and Events
Pokémon GO encourages social interaction and community engagement. Join local Pokémon GO communities to meet fellow trainers, share tips, and organize events. The game also hosts periodic events, including special Pokémon spawns and raid battles, providing fantastic opportunities to catch rare Pokémon.
